Competition day arrives, and Holly and Nia attend to support the team. Honey, your kid has lice. Was it just me or did they show way more Maddie than anyone else? Jessalynn says she must have gotten it from their kids. Kendall cried because her Bollywood costume was too tight. I agree with the above poster about Abby wanting Jojo to see Carrie - I thought Jojo did wonderful without viewing it. Supposedly - she and Cathy from Candy Apples were actually friends before the show and Cathy was the first person cast for the show on Dance Moms wiki. Yikes, Jessalyn is a lunatic.
Both the moms and the girls are just hoping Abby shows up at this point. Not surprised that Abby didn't give Maddie a solo this week, despite all the hoopla about Talia last week, this week's competition was probably even harder and Kendall was up against some amazing dancers. Must be top-secret government stuff. They beat this: and this: I guess dance is subjective! Besides the success of Dance Moms and the fame that came from the show on its own, the Sia business is the first real success from the show. They knew what they signed up for. Speaking of which, time to rehearse for the group dance with the clearly uncomfortable and desperate to go gossip moms in the room.
I think that's what sets Maddie apart from the other top girls. With all of that being said, Kendall still nailed it when she sold that awful choreography after her music randomly turned off, just like a true professional. While I can understand all that and I do think underneath it all Abby is a very lonely woman, a large part of the reason that Abby doesn't have anybody in her life is because she treats people horribly. That come down was hitting her hard in combo with her fragile ego…not a good combo. Maddie should stop competing, it's a waste of time. I missed some of Jojo's earlier days on the show, so I missed that she's a bottle blonde? This was obviously filmed out of sequence. The next day, with only 48 hours to go before the competition, Holly and Nia were nowhere to be found.
Everybody on this show is cracking up besides the girls. Still though, that shouldn't really matter as far as a judge is concerned. I would not be surprised at all if Abby had a drinking problem. That poor little peanut has just been phoning it in lately. I guess its in her contract. Who would watch it with mad die and Kendall and Mackenzie. Panoramic penthouses and celebrity mansions.
I want to teach dance, I want to be creative, don't want to do this waving her hand toward the studio and team anymore. She might not have siblings or maybe even other biological family members, but I tend to think a lot of the reason that she doesn't seem to have any real friends is on her. Twitching on the floor, tongue hanging out, goop smeared all over my face. Lice are pretty much either you have them or you don't. A video shoot is on tap for next week…the pricey pursuit of stardom continues! Put some hot sauce on those things or something. I can see Abby being friends with someone like Aubrey.
Mini group with Sara was beautiful! Did any other girl miss practice for lice!? And Gianna got ombré highlights. In the Pre-Teen Solo Division, JoJo gets 5th Place; Kendall is awarded 2nd Place. Back at 3rd Street Dance, the girls rehearse their solos, and the moms have found a place to sit and talk. I think Abby let a lot of this go to her head and it's turned off a lot of people who knew her before the show. Booze is one thing you can sneak around a lapband.
One studio near me has an awesome mini company but not so awesome senior company. Or at least everyone besides Nia. Her mom and her dog died, so she must be pretty alone. I'd love to watch those! There is no repetitive turning in their solos. The Sheer Talent competition begins.
She and Nia are supposedly real close behind the scenes - but Joe Blow on the street only sees how she abuses and takes it out on the kids if she has a problem with the mom. I told them I was no longer interested in working there. Which I guess is a good thing. Abby seems to think Holly and Nia went behind her back to try to use one of her friends. The final day before competition, Nia showed up ready to work. Would she stop selfishly holding her own talent back, just to prove her own relevance? Abby shows up the next day for rehearsal. Then, Holly calls out Abby for disparaging Nia in front of the casting directors Abby was unhappy with the direction Nia took her reading, but the casting director defended her choice , basically jeopardizing Nia's opportunity.
Not surprised that Abby didn't give Maddie a solo this week, despite all the hoopla about Talia last week, this week's competition was probably even harder and Kendall was up against some amazing dancers. There's also a competition later this season in which she goes against one of the girls mentioned in this thread I'm not sure what constitutes a spoiler since it's freely available information that I had the pleasure to see in person. And now temporary housing for the Dance Moms. Mac was alottle behind everyone in a couple of sequences but the girls did wonderful and this is much more enjoyable then watching them on Dance Moms! The action briefly shifts to the Boom Boom Room recording studio, Aubrey gives Nia a big hug, then we see Nia in the recording booth. You all are going to be sick of me! Face when it comes to picking my favorite.
I don't think competing is a waste of time. Holly had chillaxed a little and knew where Nia belonged. The group dance was good. At the end of the pyramid at the beginning of the episode when she started doing her pouty-i'm-going-to-cry face I couldn't help but laugh a little bit. Probably from rolling around in a dance studio floor, sharing brushes, costumes, etc. She loves to dance and loves her friends and Holly was willing to bite her tongue for a few minutes to let Nia have her moment. Holly proudly stated that her daughter learned some valuable lessons this week.
