Orson Scott Byron Walley Card, was born in 1951 and studied theater at Brigham Young University. That's not made clear but Card may do so later. I can easily visualize this as a movie at a quality level of any Marvel movie, good flow and story though focused on a singular character. He is a Dungeon Heart. I would like to see this extended into a full-length novel.
In Stonefather, Card must provide the reader with a lot of history about the stonemages and the watermages. He accepts a servant's position in the household of the sole stonemage permitted within the city walls, where his untapped magical talents and his fascination with his master's abilities are a predictably dangerous combination. The story moves quickly and does not mire the reader in details. Boards are clean, not bumped. The gate teleports him a short distance up the tree, healing his bruises at the same time. Boards are clean, not bumped. While the first half of the novella shows Runnel as a stranger who must be introduced to the society in which he finds himself, the second half of the novella presents him with the confidence and knowledge to come into his own. The short's rich in details of the world, but the story vehicle is one we've heard before time and again. The narrator is expressive and pleasant to listen to. He's an amazing writer and world builder. A bit like a proctology exam: necessary, but never anything one wants to go through while it's happening.
Book is in Fine condition. This is a good reading copy. Unless you're a die-hard fan of this series already, I wouldn't recommend reading it. Either way, the pain, suffering, and failures were supposed to be over. After some rewriting, Card staged a 1974 production at his own Utah Valley Repertory Theatre Company. On the other hand we get an introduction to some of the terms we'll find in that book. It tells a complete story but leaves so much space for new tales that I'm anxious to discover more of it.
Once Card posits his background, which does answer questions raised in the first part of the novella, he is able to relaunch the story relatively quickly, allowing Runnel to use the knowledge gained. I bought this book as a gift for my boyfriend. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? I don't know if Ms. Though I wish the author did not bring in the need for acceptance of romance into it. Now, in Enchantment, Card works his magic as never before, transforming the timeless story of Sleeping Beauty into an original fantasy brimming with romance and adventure.

The mythological deities used in The Lost Gate aren't mentioned here. And lo, the book I picked up from the library today is the first full length in the series! Later, such names were given to those whould would live to serve as priests to Yeggut. His titles Shadows in Flight, Ruins and Ender's Game made The New York Times Best Seller List. I like fantasy, and I've thoroughly enjoyed Card books before, but this isn't one I would consider worth my time. Still later, wetnames went to children of families thath pretended they once had a watermage in their ancestry. A fantasy novella by the best-selling author of Ender's Game.
Runnel, a friendless peasant from a village so humble that money is a new concept, stumbles into a centuries-old feud when he travels to Mitherhome, the city of the wetwizards, seeking his fortune. However, you get the impression that Card decided that the obvious story would take too much time or make too This was an entertaining introduction into Card's new universe for this series. But he soon finds that without meaning to, he complicates and then endangers the lives of everyone he comes to know and care about. Overall this story is an excellent novel for young adults upwards and has an excellent and tantalising flow that keeps interest and hardly makes you want to stop listening. Stonefather is set in the same world as the multivolume Mithermages series, coming soon from Del Rey.
Card had no business doing this production. This is a short one I got through in one sitting last night.
