Please give it a listen! Though this is not my favorite work from Tamar, it's a solid effort. Tamar Braxton's first album as an independent artist, following associations with Dreamworks and Epic, arrived with the singer's announcement that it would also be her final full-length. Thank you, Tamar, for this touching and fantastic album. Tamar shows growth with every album she releases. Rodney Jerkins, Troy Taylor, and Vincent Berry are among the collaborators who supply the kind of slick, sophisticated grooves and airy backdrops that have typified Braxton's major-label efforts. I recently went through a bitter break up and the songs that relate to me the most and are my favorite are Heart in My Hands, Blind, How I Feel, and Empty Boxes. My favorite songs on this album are in order : 1.
Go and get this album if you have not so already! I felt she was in a great space on the other 2 albums and it came through in the music. Track 6 Heart in My Hands It would have been nice Bluebird of Happiness would have been marketed better or hyped to the masses. Track 8 My Man 3. Love you Tamar, and I am always in your corner. Now, when I go back and listen to the songs, they hit home. .
There are a few stand out tracks. I honestly can't pick a favorite. This one she feels more depressed, the music is sober and sad. Even the features were perfect for their respective songs. Her vocals on this album are also A1!!! The one thing that is obvious is the emotion in this album. I think there was only one music video for this whole album My Man. God has a plan for you, plans to prosper and not to fail, so even when things get tough as they have, just remember God brought you here and He wouldn't just leave you.
This album has sad love songs, upbeat love songs, and ballads. I love every song on this album. I'm currently trying to stuy but Hol'Up is playing in the background and my body is just doing it's own thing. This is album is a work of Art, I find myself connected to so many songs and as I listen to them I imagine the journey you've had this past year. I was able to listen to the album straight through with no skips! I'm so proud of you.
Bluebird of Happiness is a vocal masterpiece by the underrated Tamar Braxton. It's definitely relate able still, but I'm waiting for her to find her happy space. I did not understand the messages behind the songs at first until I recently discovered them. . . .
